The plantation for organic cultivation of Goji Berry variety JB4 of “Znak” Ltd. was established in the land of Aheloy city, Nessebar municipality
The plantation covers an area of 24 decares and at that moment is in a procedure of certification for organic production in transition. The certification company is “CERES Certification”.
The plantation is planted with Goji Berry – variety JB4, from the Variety List of company Bio tree LTD.
The plantation is built on a wire construction with concrete poles and local drip irrigation system.
The drip system is innovative and is based on an innovative project for energy efficient and environmentally friendly irrigation system using photovoltaic installation.
The innovative approach implemented is a solution for independent power supply of water pumps on the irrigation systems of the plantation with solar electricity. By thus is provided independence of the electrical systems of drip irrigation installation from the grid. This allows building successful plantations in remote locations with difficult or no access to the electricity grid.
